The central connection is a square formed by rods from each of four arms. It appears that the arms are in a path of motion moving both parallel and perpendicular to each other. Just as these arms, defined by rods, have a directional motion, so do the Bristol board planes sliding through the rods. Each rod and plane belongs to an arm, each arm in turn belongs to the model. Place is created through spacing, proximity, and purpose of motion. This model has a strong sense of unity, or oneness, a singularity of purpose.
